Girish Mehta Awarded Doctorate from American University

Udaipur – Girish Mehta has been honored with a doctorate and a gold medal by American University during a ceremony held in New Delhi.

The American University in Maryland recognized Girish Mehta for his outstanding contributions and achievements in "Business Management and Social Work" over the past two decades, awarding him an honorary doctorate along with a gold medal and a certificate of excellence. Mehta has also received multiple international awards in the field of business and has been sent abroad for various assignments, as well as receiving accolades in social work.

The awards ceremony at the India Habitat Centre featured notable guests, including Senator Dr. John K. Kalaras, Chancellor of Maryland State University; Senator Dr. Sophie Nubani, Vice Chancellor of Day University; Senator Charles A. Von Jonas; and Miss Pal Singh, an educator from the United States, who presented the honors to Girish Mehta.

Also present were Dr. Tarun Bajaj, Director of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India; Mahant Ravindra Puri Maharaj; Professor M.M. Goyal, former Vice Chancellor; Deepika Joshi, an educator from Georgia; Dr. Tanmay Rudra, Maryland State University Senate member; and Dr. P.K. Rajput, among many others.

Girish Mehta emphasized that whether in business or social work, all tasks should be performed systematically to ensure effective outcomes. He noted that passion is essential for business, and many businesses can succeed even without initial capital. Upon his return to Udaipur after receiving the honorary doctorate, Mehta was warmly welcomed by his Rotary colleagues, friends, business associates, and relatives, who adorned him with garlands and a ceremonial shawl.

During his tenure as Secretary and President of the Rotary Club Udaipur, Mehta achieved significant milestones in various social and environmental initiatives, elevating the Rotary organization to new heights.
