Udaipur: The concluding ceremony of Rajbhasha Fortnight 2026, organised at Akashvani Udaipur from September 15 to 29, was held on Tuesday. A series of competitions, including Hindi translation, note writing, Rajbhasha knowledge and extempore speaking, were conducted during the fortnight.
The chief guest at the concluding ceremony was Lalit Sharma, Chief Manager (Operations), State Bank of India. The programme began with a welcome address by Assistant Director Vinod Barbar.
Speaking on the occasion, Nirmal Purohit, Rajbhasha Officer and Local Administrative Head, said that Hindi as the official language is not limited to official work but is also an important medium of communication in everyday life and interaction.
Chief guest Lalit Sharma presented prizes to the winners of various competitions. In his address, he stressed the need to further strengthen the relationship between Hindi and other Indian languages. He said India’s linguistic diversity and richness are an important part of the country’s cultural heritage and should be valued and celebrated.
Among the competitions held during Rajbhasha Fortnight, Anil Rayal secured first position in the Hindi Translation Competition, while Nishikant Bhatt stood first in the Note Writing Competition. Gajendra Singh Rathore won first position in the Extempore Speaking Competition.
On the occasion, prizes were also presented to the winners of the essay competition organised under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Fortnight’ at Akashvani Udaipur.
The programme was conducted by Programme Head Vinod Sharma. At the conclusion, Assistant Director D.S. Mewada proposed a vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to all the guests, participants and attendees for their presence and contribution to the programme.
