Sanatan Pathshala Organises a Day of Cultural and Educational Activities

Udaipur: Arya Samaj, Hiran Magri Sector 4, organised a Sanatan Pathshala on Sunday with the objective of nurturing values, patriotism, spiritual awareness and healthy lifestyles among the younger generation.

Addressing the students as the chief speaker, Sarla Arya explained the meaning and significance of Sanatan traditions. She said Sanatan represents that which is eternal and everlasting, like the sun. She also explained the distinction between the terms Puratan, meaning old, and Nutan, meaning new. According to her, Sanatan knowledge encompasses principles aimed at promoting happiness, prosperity, peace and good health for humanity.

Yoga instructor Jignesh Sharma conducted a practical session on yoga, pranayama and meditation. Students were guided through exercises aimed at strengthening the eye muscles, improving concentration and supporting overall well-being. Sharma highlighted the growing impact of excessive mobile phone and digital screen use on children's eyes and explained the importance of regular eye exercises and yoga practices.

Students practised Tadasana, Gomukhasana, Anulom-Vilom and Bhramari Pranayama, along with eye exercises and meditation. Sharma said regular practice can support eye health while also helping improve concentration and memory.

Teacher Bela Sisodia conducted an inspirational session based on the couplets of poet Kabir, focusing on good conduct, polite speech and the importance of service to others.

Dr. Harsha Kanawat of Hridayam Ayurveda and Yoga Centre conducted a health awareness session and encouraged students to adopt healthy eating habits. Students were motivated to avoid junk food such as sweets, chocolates, pizza and burgers and make healthier choices in their daily lives.

Bhupendra Sharma conducted motivational games and a Sanatan Knowledge Quiz, engaging students through interactive activities. Winners of the quiz and activities were felicitated with prizes.

The programme combined knowledge, yoga, health awareness, literature, games and value-based learning, providing students with a diverse and engaging learning experience.
