In an effort to ensure quick hearing of women-related complaints and provide relief, the National Commission for Women (NCW) organized a divisional-level public hearing in Udaipur on Monday as part of the ‘Women’s Commission at Your Door’ campaign. During the hearing, NCW Chairperson, Mrs. Vijaya K. Rahatkar, attentively listened to the grievances of women and directed the officials to provide immediate relief.
Present at the event were Member of Parliament Dr. Mannalal Rawat, NCW Joint Secretary Asholi Chali, District Collector Arvind Poswal, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, ADJ Kuldeep Sharma, Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal, SP of Rajsamand Sudhir Joshi, and several other officials.
Chairperson Mrs. Rahatkar emphasized the importance of women’s counseling centers and advised officials to focus on counseling family disputes through these centers. During the hearing, approximately 50 cases, mostly related to marital or family issues, were heard. She instructed the officials to prioritize the resolution of women’s issues and provide swift relief.
