Udaipur: Players from Vidya Niketan Senior Secondary School, Hiran Magri Sector-4, Udaipur, brought laurels to the institution with outstanding performances in Judo and Kurash competitions.
Principal Kamalendra Singh Rao said the school’s players delivered an impressive performance at the 37th National Judo-Kurash Competition of Vidya Bharati, held in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
In the competition, Rahul Rawat won the gold medal in the Under-19 category in the 60 kg weight class. Honey Lohar secured a gold medal in the Under-14 category in the 23 kg weight class, while Sulochana Sen won a silver medal in the Under-17 category in the 40 kg weight class.
In addition, Arpit Regar won a bronze medal in Judo, while Komal Kanwar secured a bronze medal in Kurash in the 24 kg weight category, bringing further recognition to the school.
Notably, Rahul Rawat, Honey Lohar and Sulochana Sen have been selected to represent the school at the SGFI competition.
The school family, teachers and parents expressed happiness over the achievements and congratulated the selected players, extending their best wishes for the upcoming competition.
