Udaipur: The Paryushan Parva is being observed with devotion, faith and religious fervour at Mahavir Bhawan, Sector 14. On the fourth day, dedicated to Uttam Shauch Dharma, Shri Ji was ceremonially bathed and Shantidhara was performed in the morning. The spiritual merit of the Shantidhara was earned by the Laxmilal Mewari family.
Addressing the gathering, Pandit Ravikirti said the true meaning of Uttam Shauch Dharma is not limited to external cleanliness but lies in cultivating humility in conduct, purity in thoughts and inner spiritual cleanliness. He said external cleanliness can be maintained by anyone, but inner purity is achieved only when a person frees the mind from greed and negative tendencies.
He emphasised the importance of harmony between mind, speech and actions. Thoughts should be reflected in one's words and conduct, he said, describing this alignment as the essence of Aarjava Dharma. Adopting simplicity, sincerity and straightforwardness in life helps an individual move towards inner peace, he added.
On the occasion, prayers and rituals were performed in the presence of Saudharma Indra-Indrani Naresh Kumar and Maya Devi Devda. A Nirvan Laddu was also offered with devotion to mark the Moksha Kalyanak of Lord Pushpadanta.
Trust President Bhanwar Lal Mundaliya and General Secretary Bhurilal Jain congratulated and appreciated all devotees observing various forms of austerity during Paryushan Parva. They announced that a felicitation ceremony for those undertaking religious austerities will be organised on September 25, 2026.
