Creation of Five Auxiliary Polling Centers and Building Conversion in Shri Ganganagar District

Shri Ganganagar, October 27 - In preparation for the 2023 Legislative Assembly General Elections, a meeting was convened by the Sub-District Election Officer, Mr. Arvind Kumar Jakhar, under the chairmanship of political party representatives. During the meeting, information regarding proposals related to the creation of auxiliary polling centers and building conversions in notified polling centers and primary polling centers in the legislative assembly election areas was shared. Three auxiliary polling centers have been established in the Suratgarh Legislative Assembly constituency, and two in the Ganganagar Legislative Assembly constituency.

The Sub-District Election Officer explained that for the 2023 Legislative Assembly General Elections, five auxiliary polling centers have been established in Shri Ganganagar District. With these additions, the total number of polling centers in the district will reach 1454. Additionally, the proposal for building conversion of a polling center in the Sadulshahar Legislative Assembly constituency has been approved by the Election Commission of India.

In detail, for the Suratgarh Legislative Assembly constituency, a building conversion for polling center 111A at Government Upper Primary School, Ward Number 4, has been established. Similarly, for the Ganganagar Legislative Assembly constituency, auxiliary polling centers have been created for polling center 111E, the Late Shri Gurusharan Chhabda Government College, Main Building Room Number 16, polling center 108A, Government Higher Secondary School 2E, Room Number 5, polling center 132A, and polling center 132A (A) have been established.

During the meeting, the officials also discussed the timely distribution of EPIC cards obtained from affiliated forms to the voters by the postal officer. They provided directions for publicity and promotion through hoardings and posters, as well as other necessary instructions for officials and political party representatives.

Present at the event were Ms. Reena Chhipa, Excise Officer, SDM Mr. Sanjay Agrawal, Municipal Commissioner Mr. Yashpal Ahuja, Fast Track ACS Ms. Shiva Choudhary, Election Tehsildar Divisional Officer, Mr. R.K. Dhingra, Mr. Mohit Raheja, Mr. Pradeep Dherda of BJP, Mr. Bhimraj Dabi from INC, Mr. Vijay Rawat from AAP, Mr. Kulvinder Singh, Mr. Harish Kumar Joshi, and Mr. Vinod Garg from the Municipal Corporation, along with other attendees.
