Udaipur: Additional District Collector (City) Warsingh visited the reading room and library of the Information Center on Wednesday. He expressed satisfaction upon seeing a large number of students preparing for competitive exams in the reading room. ADM praised the collection of books on various subjects and disciplines, along with newspapers and magazines, and appreciated their organized maintenance.
During the visit, the ADM also inspected the open-air amphitheater located within the center premises, where development works carried out by UDA were highlighted. Dr. Kamlesh Sharma, the Additional Director of the office, informed the ADM that the amphitheater is quite old and was the location for the filming of a song from a guide film made in the 1960s. The ADM was impressed by this historical detail and took a photograph at the amphitheater.
While inspecting the Information Center, ADM Singh also checked the archives, which include old newspapers, magazines, and other materials. He was astonished to see the well-organized filing of newspapers from 1976 to the present. He was particularly impressed by the neatly stored bound files of black-and-white newspapers that were over 50 years old and praised the efforts of the Information Center management for preserving and maintaining these valuable materials. During his visit, he also reviewed the art gallery and auditorium located on the first floor of the center.
