Udaipur: The sixth convocation ceremony of Shri Maharshi College of Vedic Astrology was held on Sunday at Ashoka Greens, Udaipur, in a grand and dignified atmosphere. Marking more than 25 years of the institution’s academic and cultural journey, the ceremony saw over 300 students receive PhD degrees and certificates across various programmes.
Udaipur MP Mannalal Rawat was the chief guest at the ceremony. Distinguished guests included Mohanlal Sukhadia University Vice Chancellor Prof. Kailash Daga, Divisional Sanskrit Education Officer Dr. Bhagwati Shankar Vyas, retired CMHO of the Rajasthan Medical Department Dr. G.L. Morya, Senior Scholar Guide Dr. Harshad Joshi, Director of the Subra Yoga School in Chicago Dr. Subramanyam Nachiappan, and former Sarpanch and Mahila Morcha President Dr. Kavita Joshi.
College founder M.D. Chauhan and Director Vikas Chauhan congratulated the degree recipients and wished them a bright future. The guests urged the students to continue advancing in the fields of Indian knowledge traditions, Vedic studies and research, and to utilise their knowledge for the welfare of society and humanity.
Director Vikas Chauhan said a PhD is not merely a qualification added before one’s name, but a symbol of commitment to knowledge and responsibility towards society. He encouraged the degree holders to make their research and knowledge socially relevant and beneficial.
Principal Rudresh M. Shastri said a convocation does not mark the end of education but the beginning of a new journey. He extended his best wishes to all the degree recipients for a successful future.
The ceremony was conducted by Bharti Dashora and Mimansa Parsai. The students receiving degrees and certificates expressed happiness and pride on the occasion. They thanked their teachers, the institution and their families, and pledged to contribute towards carrying forward India’s rich knowledge traditions.
