Udaipur: A five-day disaster management training programme organised at a constituent college of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) concluded on Friday.
According to MPUAT Student Welfare Officer Dr. Vikramaditya Dave, around 120 students associated with the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Energy Club of the College of Technology and Engineering (CTAE) participated in the training programme.
The students received practical training in rescue and relief operations during road accidents, drowning incidents and other emergency situations. The training was conducted by Inspector Devendra Yadav and his team from the 6th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
NDRF personnel demonstrated various rescue techniques used during disasters and emergencies. The students were actively involved in practical exercises, giving them first-hand experience in disaster management, rescue operations and emergency response.
Dr. Dave expressed his gratitude to the NDRF team for providing the students with valuable practical training and guidance.
As part of the concluding session, students of the CTAE NSS and Energy Club participated in the Viksit Bharat Quiz and submitted their feedback about the training programme through the Bharat portal.
At the end of the programme, NSS Officer Er. Vivek Meena proposed the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to all the participants, trainers and those who contributed to the successful organisation of the programme.
