GMCH Spreads the Message of a Healthy Heart Among Senior Citizens on World Heart Day

Udaipur: Geetanjali Hospital, Udaipur, in association with Maharana Pratap Senior Citizens Institute, organised a heart health awareness programme for senior citizens on the occasion of World Heart Day. More than 100 senior citizens from the city participated in the programme, which was conducted under the theme “Use Heart for Every Heart.”

The programme featured eminent cardiologists Dr. Ramesh Patel, Dr. Dilip Jain, Dr. Gaurav K. Mittal and Dr. Rohin K. Saini, along with Dr. Sanjay Gandhi from the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Representatives of the Maharana Pratap Senior Citizens Institute, including General Secretary Bhanwar Seth, President Chosar Lal Kachhawa and Secretary Vardan Mehta, were also present.

During the panel discussion, the expert doctors educated senior citizens about the causes of heart diseases, preventive measures, the importance of regular health check-ups, balanced nutrition, physical activity, avoiding smoking and effective stress management.

The interactive session also provided an opportunity for participants to raise questions related to heart health. The specialists addressed their queries in a simple, informative and practical manner, helping them better understand the importance of maintaining cardiovascular health, particularly in their later years.

Head of Marketing Kalpesh Chand Rajbar stated that Geetanjali Hospital regularly organises health awareness and community outreach programmes. The objective of these initiatives is to promote health awareness among the general public and senior citizens, encourage timely medical check-ups and motivate people to adopt healthier lifestyles.

The programme concluded with lunch arrangements for all participants. With enthusiastic participation from senior citizens and valuable guidance from the medical experts, the event concluded successfully, reinforcing the importance of heart health and preventive healthcare.
