Udaipur: Students of St Anthony’s Senior Secondary School, Udaipur, delivered an impressive performance at the 70th State-Level School Roller Skating Championship, winning a total of five medals — two gold, two silver and one bronze.
Competing against talented skaters from across Rajasthan, the school’s athletes displayed strong technique, confidence, discipline and sporting spirit throughout the championship.
Class 10 student Tarun Gameti emerged as the standout performer for the school, securing two gold medals. His speed, balance and technical skills helped him finish at the top in his respective events.
Class 11 student Chhaviraj Singh Chundawat also put up a strong performance, winning two silver medals. His results reflected his consistent training and ability to compete under pressure.
Tashi Punera added another medal to the school’s tally by securing a bronze medal at the state-level competition.
School principal William D’Souza, the sports department and coach Mayank Soni congratulated all the medal-winning athletes and appreciated their hard work and dedication.
School media in-charge Vikas Sahu said the performance was particularly encouraging given the level of competition at the state championship. He said the athletes’ discipline, confidence and commitment reflected their regular practice and dedication to the sport.
He added that the school encourages students to pursue sporting interests alongside academics and provides them with opportunities and support to develop their skills.
The achievement has brought cheer to the school community, parents and sports enthusiasts in Udaipur. The school management said the medals were a reflection not only of sporting ability but also of consistent practice, perseverance, discipline and dedication.
