Administration and Police on High Alert Post Pahalgam Attack

Udaipur, Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the district administration and police have shifted into high alert mode to maintain law and order. District Collector Mr. Namit Mehta and Superintendent of Police Mr. Yogesh Goyal conducted a city round on Sunday night and inspected the Abhay Command Center, instructing officials to strengthen the surveillance system and maintain strict vigilance over social media platforms.

During their night round, District Collector Mehta and SP Goyal inspected key areas, starting from Surajpol, moving through Gulabbagh Road, Bhatiyani Chohatta, and reaching Jagdish Chowk. They further reviewed the situation across Chandpol, Brahmpol, Malla Talai, Radaji Chauraha, P.P. Singhal Marg, Shiksha Bhavan Chauraha, Chetak Circle, Court Chauraha, and Delhi Gate, concluding at the Municipal Corporation premises.

Inspection of the Abhay Command and Control Center
Following the city round, the officers visited the Abhay Command and Control Center located at the Municipal Corporation campus. They reviewed the operations at the helpline call center, where Center In-charge ASP Mr. Lakhmanray Rathore explained the complaint tracing and rapid response mechanism via the RajComp app. The officers also inspected the Video Monitoring Cell and reviewed the real-time surveillance being conducted through CCTV cameras installed at various locations across the city.

District Collector Mehta suggested adopting drone surveillance technology, citing its successful use during major events in Bhilwara, and recommended linking drones with the Abhay Command system for enhanced vigilance in Udaipur.

Continuous Monitoring of Social Media
The officers further inspected the Social Media Cell, obtaining information on the identification and tracking of objectionable posts. SP Mr. Goyal stated that social media platforms are being closely monitored and any objectionable posts are immediately flagged for action by the concerned police station officers and circle officers.
