Work with Vigilance and Coordination to Maintain Peace: District Magistrate

Udaipur, Following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the government under the direction of Chief Minister Mr. Bhajanlal Sharma is taking serious measures to maintain peace and law and order across the state. Comprehensive guidelines have been issued after meetings led by the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, and Director General of Police.

In line with these efforts, District Magistrate and Collector Mr. Namit Mehta and Superintendent of Police Mr. Yogesh Goyal conducted a video conference meeting on Sunday with all Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Executive Magistrates, and Police Officers of the district. They briefed the officials about the government's directives and instructed them to work with utmost vigilance and coordination to maintain law and order.

During the meeting held at the DOIT Auditorium, District Magistrate Mr. Mehta emphasized that anti-social elements might attempt to disrupt peace by exploiting the situation. Therefore, officers must exercise additional caution, conduct joint visits to sensitive locations, monitor daily activities, and immediately report any unexpected incidents or information to the headquarters.

Superintendent of Police Mr. Goyal informed that the visas of Pakistani nationals who had come to India on short-term visas have been canceled by the Government of India. Officers were directed to ensure that all such individuals return to Attari Border within the stipulated time frame. He also instructed the officers to take action against hardcore criminals and history-sheeters, strengthen patrolling, and closely monitor anti-social elements.

Additional District Collector Warasingh, ASPs Umesh Ojha, Lakhmanray Rathore, Anjana Sukhwal, Gopalswaroop Mewara, and Mrs. Madhuri were present at the meeting. All SDMs, Tehsildars, Deputy Superintendents of Police, and Station House Officers connected through video conferencing.

Movement of Security Agencies Not to Be Recorded or Circulated
SP Mr. Goyal emphasized that recording and circulating the movement of military and paramilitary forces is strictly prohibited. All officers were instructed to ensure compliance and raise public awareness during CLG (Community Liaison Group) meetings.

Other Directives Issued:

CLG meetings to be held at all sub-division, police station, and police outpost levels by April 28.

Enhanced surveillance near military and paramilitary establishments; report any suspicious individuals or unusual activities immediately.

Hotels, resorts, guest houses, and dharmshalas must maintain complete visitor records and ensure functional CCTV cameras with backup.

Unauthorized flying of drones is strictly prohibited.

All religious sites in the district must be listed, patrolled regularly, and equipped with CCTV cameras through respective management trusts.

Officers must not leave headquarters without prior permission.
