Tribute Paid by Tourism Community to Tourists Killed in Terrorist Attack

A condolence gathering was organized at Jagdish Chowk under the joint aegis of the Old City Welfare Committee and Udaipur Guide Union to pay tribute to the innocent tourists who lost their lives in the terrorist attack at Pahalgam.
Providing information about the gathering, Rakesh Chaudhary, Secretary of the Hotel Institution of Southern Rajasthan, stated that all organizations and members associated with the tourism industry expressed deep sorrow over the incident. He emphasized that this cowardly terrorist attack is not only an assault on humanity but also a grave blow to our country’s revered tradition of Atithi Devo Bhava.

During the gathering, symbolic protest was staged by crushing and burning the photographs of the terrorists on the road. The attendees tied black bands on their arms and observed two minutes of silence in memory of the martyred tourists. They also lit lamps to offer heartfelt tribute.
Furthermore, a demand was made to the government for prompt and stringent action against terrorism.

All members present took a pledge to remain united against terrorism and to uphold peace and harmony in the country.

Prominent attendees included Akshay Singh Rao, Pradeep Sen, and Kailash Soni from the Old City Welfare Committee; Digvijay Singh Ranawat from Udaipur Guide Union; Mukesh Tikku from the Travel Agents Association; Dinesh Makwana from the Dharmotsav Committee; Rajendra Shrimali from the Rath Committee; Hemendra Pujari from the Pujari Parishad; K.P. Agrawal, Rakesh Chaudhary, and Ambalal Sahu from the Hotel Institution of Southern Rajasthan and the Hotel Federation of Rajasthan; Om Sen from Sen Yuva Kranti, along with several other distinguished personalities from the tourism sector and both domestic and international tourists.
