Cyber Security Awareness Program Organized for Students by Udaipur Central Co-operative Bank

Udaipur, Under the theme of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 declared by the United Nations, Udaipur Central Co-operative Bank Ltd. organized a Cyber Security Awareness Program for the students of Jawahar Vidyapeeth, Kanod.

The program began with a warm welcome of the guests by Dr. Anand Dhing, Secretary of Jawahar Vidyapeeth, and Savita Vairagi, Principal. Dr. Mehazbeen Bano, Executive Officer of the Bank, introduced the concept of the cooperative year and outlined the objectives of the session.

Rajesh Tailor, Senior Manager of the Bhindar branch, provided students a brief introduction to cooperative banking and its services. In the first session, Hitesh Kumar Panchal, the Bank’s IT Manager, explained various cyber crimes prevalent today. He warned students against clicking unknown links on social media, which can compromise their personal data and lead to banking fraud. He also emphasized the importance of keeping passwords secure and never sharing OTPs with anyone.

In the second session, Nipun Chitoda, IT Head of Udaipur Mahila Samriddhi Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd., advised students to report any cyber fraud immediately by dialing 1930 or visiting the nearest cyber police station. He highlighted awareness as the only safeguard against cyber threats and urged students not to respond to suspicious calls or fall for fake schemes.

Booklets on cyber awareness were distributed to the students, and several participants appreciated the usefulness of the program. Meena Nebhnani delivered the vote of thanks, and Dr. Dharmesh Motwani conducted the event. Teachers of Jawahar Vidyapeeth and managers from Gram Seva Sahakari Samitis of Bhindar region were also present at the event.
