Book ‘Shrimad Bhagavad Gita – For All’ Launched in Udaipur

Udaipur, The book “Shrimad Bhagavad Gita – Jan Jan Ke Liye”, authored by social worker and writer Vijayalaxmi Bansal, was launched on Sunday at Vigyan Samiti Auditorium, Ashok Nagar, Udaipur. The launch ceremony was graced by Alok Sansthan Director, Dr. Pradeep Kumawat, who unveiled the book.

During the event, Dr. Kumawat captivated the audience by reciting the essence of all 18 chapters of the Gita in 18 simple lines, and shared self-composed Gita shlokas in Mewari language, evoking spiritual emotions among the attendees.

Author Vijayalaxmi Bansal emphasized that the Bhagavad Gita is not confined to any specific religion or sect, but is a spiritual guide for all humanity. She explained how Lord Krishna’s teachings to a confused and emotionally overwhelmed Arjuna during the Mahabharata war still hold deep relevance for everyone today.

Highlighting the purpose behind the book, she shared her intent to distribute it free of cost in schools and colleges, enabling future generations to access and internalize the profound teachings of the Gita. The book includes not only the essence of the 18 chapters but also lesser-known facts from the Mahabharata like the names of the 100 Kauravas, various weapons used in the war, and the names of the conch shells used by warriors.

Former heads of Meera Girls College – Sanskrit Department's Gayatri Panwar and Economics Department's Sharda Gupta – addressed the gathering as special guests.

One of the unique features of this book is its compact size and simple language, making it easy to carry in a pocket, purse, or bag in the form of a gutka (mini religious book).
