Inspiring stories of Mewar shared at Hansraj Children Home

Celebrating World Heritage Day with Children

Udaipur, On the occasion of World Heritage Day, a special session on cultural heritage was organized by the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur, at the Hansraj Children Home in Dewali.

The session began with Dr. Manish Shrimali sharing a brief insight into the life and legacy of Maharana Pratap. He narrated inspiring stories of Maharana Pratap to the young girls residing at the Children Home. Deeply engaged by the tales of Mewar's valour, the girls eagerly asked questions, which Dr. Shrimali answered with detailed explanations.

As part of the session, the Foundation also conducted a heritage activity titled "India Cultural Jigsaw." The children were given a map of India along with pictures representing the cultural heritage and ancient monuments of various states. With great attention, the girls matched and pasted the images to their respective states on the map.

Dr. Mayank Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, shared that the purpose of such heritage-based activities is to introduce children to India’s rich cultural legacy.

The City Palace Museum, maintained by the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, preserves a wide array of Mewar’s heritage. With its ever-evolving galleries and exhibitions, the museum continues to attract visitors from across the country and abroad. Beyond its display, the City Palace Museum stands as a "Temple of Inspiration" for students, researchers, and admirers alike. The Foundation consistently organizes diverse activities to keep the living heritage alive while maintaining the museum.
