Banswara, A wave of devotion swept through Banswara’s Singhwaw area as the three-day Pratishtha Mahotsav of Shri Kapil Ganesh and Shri Kedareshwar Mahadev Temple commenced on Friday morning with Vinayak Stavan and Ganapati Mahapuja.

The inaugural day witnessed the invocation and Shodashopchar worship of the deities, followed by Ganesh Yagya, Mandap Pravesh, Grah Poojan, Grah Shanti, Grah Homa, Matrika Poojan, Punyahavachan, and Kutir Homa.
Under the guidance of Chief Acharyas Pandit Pankaj Pandya and Pandit Bhavesh Pandya, and Pratishtha Acharya Pandit Yajna Narayan Pandya along with Upacharya Pandit Kamalkant Pandya and Pandit Pradeep Bhatt, rituals and a nine-pit Yagya were performed. Former Municipal President Jainendra Trivedi led as the chief yajman, offering oblations with ghee and sacred woods.
Resonance of Vedic Chants Across the Temple
In the spiritually charged atmosphere, families of yajmans including Santosh Trivedi, Subhash Trivedi, Pragna Joshi, Anant Joshi, Pratibha Joshi, Hemant Joshi, Mahadevi Joshi, Devkinandan Joshi, Vimla Sanadhya, Amritlal Sanadhya, Charvi Bhatt, Achal Bhatt, Antim Pandya, Dipesh Pandya, Swati Vyas, Sharad Vyas, Pushpadevi Bhatt, Riya Joshi, and Vartik Joshi took part in various rituals and offerings.
Ganesh Devotion and Chandi Path Held
On Friday, the Vindhyavasini Ashtami Mandal and Pradosh Mandal jointly organized a grand Ganapati Anushthan featuring collective recitation of the Ganapati Atharvashirsha and modak offering rituals. Alongside, a Chandi Mahaanushthan was held with recitation of Durga Saptashati under the guidance of Pandit Harshvardhan Vyas and Pandit Pradeep Muralidhar Bhatt. Many priests including Pandit Mahendra Pathak, Akshay Pandya, Ishwardas Vaishnav, Anil Pandya, Arvind Pathak, Narhari H. Bhatt, Kaushal Pandya, Sushil Trivedi, Manoj Rawal, Pankaj Pandya, Lalit Acharya, and Subhash Bhatt participated in the divine rituals.
Women Devotees Enchant with Bhakti Bhajans
Thursday night witnessed vibrant Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies conducted by Shri Kedareshwar Mahila Mandal. Women from the group including Jigyasa Vyas, Priyanka Rawal, Vinita Pathak, Tripti Vyas, Anuradha Soni, Sagar Paliwal, Kesar Tamboli, Vinita Teli, Urmila Dosi, Amita Vyas, Aarti Pandya, Antim Pandya, Pushpa Vyas, Lata Upadhyay, Aarti Shukla, Lata Bhatt, Nisha Vyas, Anusuya Trivedi, Manjula, Ritu, Megha, Jyoti, Ranjana, Sangeeta Pathak, Pragna Joshi, Santosh Trivedi and Bhakti Vyas infused the temple with devotional melodies. The evening concluded with a collective musical recitation of Sundarkand, attracting numerous devotees from the local community.
Temple Structures Consecrated Through Ritual Architecture
The Pratishtha rituals also included architectural consecration of ancient idols of Shri Kapil Ganesh, Shri Kedareshwar Mahadev, Shiv Jaladhari, Shitala Mata, Parvati, Hanumanji, Nandi, Riddhi-Siddhi, temple spire (shikhar kalash) and flagstaff (dhwaj dand).
Rituals Continue on Saturday
On Saturday, April 19, the second day of the Mahotsav, rituals will begin at 8 AM with the worship of installed deities, Shiv Yagya, deity habitation (adhivas), Dikshu Homa, vastu offerings, Tatva Nyas, and Shayyadhivas.
Grand Kalash Yatra, Final Rituals on Sunday
On the final day, Sunday, April 20, a grand Kalash Yatra will be taken out at 7 AM, followed by a sequence of final rituals beginning at 8 AM. These will include the final deity consecrations, Shanti Paustik Havan, idol pratishtha, shikhar pratishtha, culminating in a Yagya Purnahuti and Maha Aarti at noon. A grand Mahaprasadi will follow at 1 PM.
