Administrative Officers Instructed to Stay Alert Amid Heat Wave Conditions

 

Udaipur,  A monthly district-level public hearing and District Vigilance Committee meeting was conducted on Thursday at the DOIT VC Room in the Collectorate premises, under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kewalramani. District Collector Namit Mehta was also present during the session.

Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant joined the proceedings via video conferencing and issued clear directives to all Divisional Commissioners and District Collectors. Emphasizing the upcoming two to two-and-a-half months of intense heat wave conditions across the state, he urged all administrative officials to remain on high alert.

“Ensure swift resolution of electricity and water supply issues. Conduct continuous monitoring and stay actively engaged both day and night to offer immediate relief to the public,” he stated.

Priority to Timely and Quality Redressal

Highlighting the importance of prompt and qualitative grievance resolution, Chief Secretary Pant stressed that addressing public complaints received via public hearings and the Sampark Portal should be treated as a top priority.

“This is a time to step out in the field,” he said, urging officers to routinely visit ground-level sites. He also inquired about the nature and status of complaints received during Udaipur’s district-level hearing from Divisional Commissioner Kewalramani.

113 Grievances Registered; Immediate Action on Three

Assistant Director of Public Services, Hitesh Kumar Soni, informed that a total of 113 cases were received during the hearing. These involved issues related to electricity, encroachment, drinking water, road construction, pensions, and police matters. Three complaints were resolved on the spot, while instructions were issued to concerned department officers to resolve the remaining matters in a time-bound and efficient manner.

The hearing witnessed the presence of several senior officials including ADM Administration Dipendra Singh Rathore, Zila Parishad CEO Ria Dabi, Municipal Commissioner Ramprakash, Girwa Sub-Divisional Officer Sonika Kumari, UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain, along with district-level officers from various departments and a large number of complainants.
