Udaipur : Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated with reverence at the Udaipur Rural District Congress Office located at Surajpole, in honor of Bharat Ratna, architect of the Indian Constitution, and great social reformer Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Tributes were paid by offering flowers to his portrait.
Addressing the gathering, Udaipur Rural District Congress President Kachru Lal Chaudhary said that the Constitution drafted by Dr. Ambedkar is the largest in the world and every citizen considers him a source of inspiration. He emphasized the need to follow Ambedkar's ideas, as he dedicated his life to fighting for the rights of Dalits, women, the poor, and the marginalized, and worked to bring them into the mainstream.
Chaudhary also expressed concern over the ongoing attacks on the Constitution and the incidents of vandalism of statues of great personalities. He criticized the state’s "slip government" for its failure to control such anti-social elements.
The event was attended by Rural District Congress Spokesperson Dr. Sanjeev Rajpurohit, General Secretary Dr. Mahesh Tripathi, Laxmi Narayan Meghwal, Bhupendra Chauhan, former councillor Madan Singh Babbarwal, Laxmi Lal Soni, Dinesh Audichya, Kishan Singh Chundawat, and District Congress Secretary Ratan Lal Purbia.
