Still Committed to Fulfilling PM Modi’s Vision: K.K. Gupta

New Delhi / Jaipur / Udaipur** — Prime Minister **Narendra Modi**, during the *Lord Mahavir Jayanti celebrations* at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, urged the nation to embrace **nine resolutions inspired by the Navkar Mantra**, promoting values of knowledge, inner transformation, and humanity. Remarkably, **Dungarpur Municipal Council** in southern Rajasthan’s tribal region had already successfully implemented these resolutions between **2015 and 2020**, according to **K.K. Gupta**, former Chairman of the Council and current State Coordinator of Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) and BJP State Convenor.

### Navkar Mantra Chanting Program Organized in Udaipur

During the grand Navkar Mantra chanting program in Udaipur, held as part of Lord Mahavir’s birth celebrations, K.K. Gupta highlighted that under the inspiration of PM Modi, all nine resolutions had been **fully implemented during his tenure as Chairman of Dungarpur Municipal Council**. For his efforts, the **Rajasthan government honored him twice as Brand Ambassador of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan**, and he was also appointed as *Amicus Curiae* by the Honorable Court.

He emphasized that even today, efforts are underway in regions like **Banswara, Udaipur**, and the famous Shekhawati towns of **Mandawa and Chirawa (Jhunjhunu district)** to further the mission of cleanliness and development.

### Major Initiatives Undertaken by Dungarpur Municipal Council (2015–2020):

#### ✅ **Water Conservation**  
In 2016, under the *Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan*, 8 ancient stepwells and 3 wells in the town were restored and cleaned for rainwater harvesting.  
A *Rainwater Harvesting Mission* was launched and implemented in **600 households**, with the Council offering **50% subsidy** to encourage public participation.

#### ✅ **Green Dungarpur – Tree Plantation**  
Inspired by PM Modi’s “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign, the Council planted **25,000 trees**, including fully grown **12-foot trees**, avoiding saplings for better survival. These efforts have transformed Dungarpur into a lush green city.

#### ✅ **Cleanliness & Sanitation Excellence**  
Dungarpur was awarded **Rajasthan’s Cleanest and Most Beautiful Urban Body** in the National Swachh Bharat Survey.  
The Council earned top rankings in **citizen feedback and garbage-free city categories** in subsequent years and received multiple **national and international awards** from 2018 onwards.

#### ✅ **Vocal for Local & Women Empowerment**  
In collaboration with NGOs like *Unnati Seva Sansthan*, the Council distributed **100 sewing machines** and machines for making **papad, plates, bowls, and sanitary pads**, empowering over **1,500 women** with skill training and self-employment opportunities.

#### ✅ **Preservation of Religious Heritage**  
Under the *Desh Darshan* initiative, the Council renovated **all 31 temples** in the town, ensuring proper upkeep, painting, and arrangements.

#### ✅ **Promotion of Natural Food & Values**  
In Dungarpur's Bhandariya area, **500 fruit-bearing trees** were planted and assigned to **500 girls**, who were entrusted with their care.  
Programs focused on **value-based living**, service, and wellness were held, with sessions led by spiritual speakers.

#### ✅ **Yoga & Sports Promotion**  
In line with PM Modi’s appeal to make yoga and sports a lifestyle, **yoga classes** were held at *Badal Mahal*, and **five-year-long camps** were organized for children focusing on sports like **judo and karate**.

#### ✅ **Support for the Underprivileged**  
The Council launched Dungarpur’s **first Roti Bank**, which has provided **free meals** for the past **eight years**.  
Under the **Wall of Kindness** initiative, needy individuals were given **free clothes, shoes, and toys**.

### Grand Navkar Mantra Event in Udaipur  
Prime Minister Modi had recently participated in the **Navkar Mantra Day celebrations** in New Delhi, where he recited the mantra and urged citizens to internalize its teachings. He spoke about how the mantra symbolizes **108 divine qualities**, self-belief, and the victory over internal enemies like negativity, distrust, and selfishness.

In **Udaipur**, a massive Navkar Mantra chanting event took place with the participation of over **15,000 devotees**. The event was a huge success, with significant contributions from **Yashwant Anchalya, Gunvant Wagecha, Anil Nahar, Abhishek Sancheti, Alok Pagaria, Prakash Kothari**, and their entire team.
