The United Nations has declared 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives, aiming to strengthen the cooperative framework and extend its benefits to the masses. In line with this, a Micro ATM distribution and implementation program was organized at the head office of Udaipur Central Cooperative Bank for selected committees.

The event was chaired by Mrs. Gunjan Choubey, Additional Registrar of the Cooperative Department, Udaipur, who highlighted the importance of the International Year of Cooperatives and provided guidance on financial empowerment for committee managers. Bank Managing Director Mr. Animesh Purohit explained the utility of Micro ATMs, describing them as compact versions of standard ATMs, functioning similarly to Point of Sale (POS) terminals. These machines connect to the banking network via GPRS, enabling seamless transactions in remote rural areas.

During the program, a total of 26 committees received Micro ATM machines, including 9 from Udaipur, 8 from Salumber, and 9 from Rajsamand. Bank Computer Programmer Mr. Hitesh Panchal installed the necessary software and provided hands-on training to committee managers, who successfully conducted test transactions on-site.

Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Mr. Lokesh Joshi, announced that loan distribution through Micro ATMs will soon be facilitated. At the conclusion of the event, Bank Executive Officer Dr. Mehjabeen Bano encouraged maximum utilization of Micro ATMs and expressed her gratitude. Dr. Dharmesh Motwani conducted the stage proceedings, and bank officials and staff attended the event in large numbers.
