Kota – The 14th convocation ceremony of Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, was held at KDA Auditorium. The event was presided over by Governor & Chancellor Shri Hari Bhau Bagde, with Vice Chancellor of Central University of Gujarat, Prof. Rama Shankar Dubey, as the guest of honor. The Governor awarded degrees and gold medals to students and congratulated the university on a successful event. Registrar Bhavana Sharma extended the vote of thanks.
A total of 9521 students were awarded degrees, including 36 PhDs, 212 M.Tech, 1 M.Arch, 745 MBA, 595 MCA, 7817 B.Tech, 113 B.Arch, and 2 BHMCT graduates. This year, 7487 male and 2034 female students received degrees. The Chancellor's Gold Medal was awarded to Aditya Sharma (M.Tech in Transportation Engineering from Kautilya Institute of Technology & Engineering, Jaipur), while the Vice Chancellor's Gold Medal was conferred on Rashmi Kumari (B.Tech from Arya College of Engineering & IT, Jaipur). Additionally, 20 students received gold medals, including 11 male and 9 female students from various disciplines.
Addressing the students, Governor Shri Hari Bhau Bagde emphasized that convocation is not the end of education but the beginning of a new journey. He highlighted that technical education should be based on reasoning and logic. The New Education Policy focuses on holistic development, and he urged universities to introduce technical courses in Hindi alongside English to promote research in local languages.
Guest of honor Prof. Rama Shankar Dubey stated that Rajasthan Technical University has established a strong legacy in technical education since its inception in 2006. He encouraged students to contribute to India’s economic growth through innovation and research.
RTU Vice Chancellor Prof. S.K. Singh expressed gratitude for the Governor’s guidance and presented the university’s progress report. He reaffirmed that RTU is committed to providing quality and employment-oriented education, enabling students to compete on a global platform. He congratulated all students on receiving their degrees and gold medals.
