Udaipur: On the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day, a meeting was held on Saturday at the District Collector's auditorium under the theme "Towards Sustainable Lifestyle Changes," chaired by ADJ and Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Kuldeep Sharma.
In his address, ADJ Sharma emphasized the importance of adopting modern technologies to transform lifestyles. He advised consumers to avoid fast food, which is commonly available in markets, to maintain good health. Manish Bhatnagar, District Supply Officer, urged consumers to remain vigilant and aware of their rights.
Pramod Jhanwar from Maruti Seva Samiti spoke about the importance of adopting simple and affordable methods to reduce energy consumption, conserve water, and implement eco-friendly cleaning practices for a sustainable daily life. Yevanti Kumar Bolya shared information on solar energy and encouraged the adoption of solar power to save electricity. Dr. Mahendra Singh motivated the youth to raise awareness about consumer rights. Rakesh Paliwal, Provincial Organization Secretary of All India Consumer Panchayat, also offered useful suggestions for consumer awareness in today's times.
Students from Meera Girls College, along with Enforcement Officers from the Supply Department—Dr. Nisha Mundra, Mansi Pandya, Enforcement Inspector Vishal Meena, Dr. Komal Singh Solanki, and Senior Assistant Rajendra Singh Ranawat—were also present.
At the end of the event, Mahesh Chandra Sharma, Divisional Consumer Protection Officer, highlighted the purpose of the program and shared details about the Consumer Week, which will continue for the next week, while thanking all participants.
