Workshop on Medical Education Technology Held at PMCH

Udaipur. A workshop on "Medical Education Technology" was organized at Pacific Medical College and Hospital from March 3 to March 5, 2025, for medical educators. The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Aparajita Shukla, National Medical Commission (NMC) observer and Co-Coordinator of the Nodal Center, Professor and Head of the Department of Community Medicine at SMT. NHLMMC, Ahmedabad.

The workshop was inaugurated on March 3, 2025, by Dr. M.M. Mangal, President of Pacific Medical University, Dr. U.S. Parihar, Dean of PMCH, and Dr. Gaurav Vadhavan, Professor of Surgery, MEU Coordinator, and Workshop Coordinator.

Dr. Gaurav Vadhavan, the workshop coordinator, explained that a total of 30 participants (faculty members) took part in the workshop. The main objective was to train medical educators in the new "Competency-Based Medical Education" (CBME) system, enabling them to teach medical students using the latest teaching methods. This training aims to develop skilled professionals capable of serving our country in alignment with global standards.

During the three-day workshop, experienced and expert faculty members of the college delivered lectures on various important topics. The discussions particularly focused on new technologies in medical education, competency-based curricula, and assessment and evaluation methods.

Participants and faculty members appreciated the administration of Pacific Medical College and Hospital and the Medical Education Unit (MEU) for the successful organization of the workshop.
