District Collector Visits Kailashpuri, Reviews Preparations for Maha Shivaratri Fair

Udaipur. District Collector Namit Mehta visited Kailashpuri on Tuesday to review the preparations for the Maha Shivaratri fair and to manage the expected crowd of devotees. During his visit, he inspected the parking, barricading, drinking water facilities, cleanliness, and other arrangements, giving necessary instructions to ensure smooth operations.

The District Collector arrived at Kailashpuri at around 10:15 AM. He first reviewed the parking arrangements made along the Delwada road. He directed Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Nirma Vishnoi, Tehsildar Hitesh Trivedi, and other officials to increase the parking capacity as much as possible. He then inspected the barricading work near the main temple entrance. He inquired about the separate queues for male and female devotees. The officials informed him that barricading is being done for about 2 kilometers, with three to four blocks being set up in between to manage the crowd and maintain order. The District Collector directed the officials to ensure drinking water facilities and mobile toilets along the entire barricading route.

The District Collector also inspected the temple's main entrance and exit gates and discussed the arrangements with the officials and temple trust representatives. He suggested that the temple trust appoint some volunteers to coordinate with the police for managing the external arrangements.

**Round-the-Clock Cleanliness**

The District Collector emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness during the fair. He acknowledged that the large number of devotees expected would make maintaining cleanliness challenging. He directed Development Officer Hitesh Joshi to deploy additional cleaning staff from the Panchayat Samiti and to ensure round-the-clock cleanliness with the help of staff from the Udaipur Municipal Corporation. Kailashpuri Sarpanch Narayanlal Gameti was also instructed to arrange for necessary vehicles for garbage collection.

**Stay Focused, Do What Seems Right**

The District Collector mentioned that around two lakh devotees are expected, so the arrangements must be impeccable. He stressed that there should be no disorder or chaos and instructed officials to follow their best judgment while making arrangements, without being influenced by others. He emphasized that the primary concern should be that the devotees do not face any inconvenience or trouble.

**Over 400 Security Personnel Deployed**

The District Collector shared the details about the security arrangements for the fair. Deputy Superintendent of Police Kailashchandra and Station House Officer Ravindra informed him that more than 400 security personnel will be deployed in different shifts to maintain order during the event.

**Instructions for CCTV Cameras Along the Entire Route**

The District Collector took feedback about the placement of CCTV cameras. He was informed that cameras were installed at the main temple and its entrance. He mentioned that the queues for the temple would begin forming on Tuesday night, as the temple will open for darshan early Wednesday morning. Since people will be standing in line overnight, CCTV cameras are crucial for maintaining order and preventing any criminal activities. He directed the Sub-Divisional Officer and Development Officer to install CCTV cameras along the entire barricading route and also instructed them to ensure sufficient lighting arrangements.
