Adani Group is undertaking a special initiative to promote Sanatan culture at Mahakumbh 2025. In collaboration with Geeta Press, Gorakhpur, the group aims to distribute 10 million copies of the Aarti collection. Several stalls have been set up in the fair area and the city, where a large number of devotees and youth are receiving the Aarti collection.

100-Year-Old Aartis Distributed for Free

Adani Group is providing over 100-year-old Aartis free of cost. The Aarti collection, published by Geeta Press, was compiled by Sanatan literature pioneer and freedom fighter Hanuman Prasad Poddar. The first edition was published in 1953, and 97 editions have been printed so far.

Historical Significance of the Aarti Collection

According to Geeta Press manager Dr. Lalmani Tiwari, the Aarti collection includes hymns in both Sanskrit and Hindi. India’s most popular Aarti, Om Jai Jagdish Hare, was written in 1875 by Pandit Shraddharam Sharma Phillauri and has remained an integral part of religious rituals for 150 years.

Contribution of Hanuman Prasad ‘Bhai Ji’

The editor of the Aarti collection, Hanuman Prasad Poddar, was actively involved in the freedom movement and was a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi. He played a key role in establishing Geeta Press as a leading publication house. He was closely connected with Lokmanya Tilak, Lala Lajpat Rai, Mahatma Gandhi, Madan Mohan Malaviya, Sardar Patel, and other revolutionaries.

Sanatan Literature Gains Popularity Online

Adapting to the digital era, Geeta Press has made its publications available online. Readers from over 15 countries are now accessing Sanatan literature through its website.

Other Service Initiatives at Mahakumbh

In addition to distributing Aarti collections, Adani Group, in collaboration with ISKCON, is serving Mahaprasad to over 100,000 devotees daily. This initiative is increasing youth and devotees’ participation in Mahakumbh, strengthening their connection to Sanatan culture.
