Former Vallabhnagar MLA urges Kanod Panchayat Samiti creation
Former Vallabhnagar MLA Ranadhir Singh Bhinder has written to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, advocating for the establishment of a new Panchayat Samiti in Kanod. He highlighted that the Vallabhnagar Assembly constituency currently comprises three Panchayat Samitis: Kurabad with 18 panchayats, Vallabhnagar with 23, and Bhinder with 29. Bhinder emphasized that with the ongoing reorganization, there is potential to form 15 to 20 new panchayats within the constituency. This expansion could justify the creation of an additional Panchayat Samiti in Kanod. He also referenced a policy from former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's tenure, which stipulated that areas with a tehsil should also have a sub-division and Panchayat Samiti. Given that Kanod already has a tehsil, Bhinder urged the Chief Minister to consider establishing a Panchayat Samiti there to enhance administrative convenience for local residents.
