Vihana Kothari and Jenil Parmar Crowned Champions

The one-day free open chess tournament, organized by Castle Minds Chess Academy in association with CIL International School, was held at the Castle Minds Chess Academy located in Sector 5. The main members of Castle Minds Chess Academy, Kushal Patel and Divyanshu Babel, shared that a total of 122 players participated in the tournament. The competition was held in two categories: Group A for Under 5, 7, 9, and 11, and Group B for Under 13, 15, 17, and Senior categories.
The tournament was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Asian Champion and Under 9 National Champion Kiyana Parihar, along with Chess in Lakesity President Mr. Rajeev Bhardwaj, Chess in Lakesity Patron Mr. Tushar Mehta, and Secretary Mr. Vikas Sahu. The match umpire, Nilesh Kumawat, informed that after six rounds, Vihana Kothari became the champion of Group A, and Jenil Parmar emerged as the champion of Group B.
The winners in various categories were:
- Under-5: Sahira Kesari
- Under-7 Boys: Gatik Vyas Viraj
- Under-7 Girls: Manya Chaudhary, Yadhvi, Azhuni
- Under-9 Boys: Ruhan Nagal, Siddhant, Vihaan
- Under-9 Girls: Veera Kage, Devanshi Baheti, Kanishka
- Under-11 Boys: Ridhann Jain, Arham Mehta, Siddharth Dhelawat
- Under-13 Boys: Param Vadhwani, Darsh Rathi, Vineet Kage
- Under-13 Girls: Paridhi Lodha, Riya, Vidhi
- Under-15 Boys: Mitansh Sahu, Vihaan Kumawat, Jainish Vya
- Under-15 Girls: Charvi Maheshwari, Pratishtha, Saachi
- Under-17 Boys: Manthan Jain
- Under-17 Girls: Bhumi Sahu, Chahana Jain
- Senior: Govind Sharma, Vaibhav Soni, Avanish
These winners secured the first to third positions in their respective categories and were awarded prizes by Castle Minds’ coach, Mr. Ravindra Pal Singh. All participants were also given medals as a token of encouragement.
The tournament was officiated by Kapil Sahu, Prakhar Chaplot, Siddharth Jain, Kapil Garg, and Disha Sisodia. It was announced that such competitions will be organized every month for chess enthusiasts.
