MP Dr. Rawat Advocates for Transportation Facilities in the State in Parliament

Udaipur | Udaipur Lok Sabha MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat has requested the central government for special economic assistance for the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) to expand road transport facilities in the state.

During the Parliament session, under Rule 377, Dr. Rawat highlighted that the Road Transport Corporation Act of 1950, passed by Parliament, led to the establishment of road transport corporations in most states. The objective of these corporations is to benefit the public, trade, and industry by developing road transport, establishing coordination in transportation, improving and expanding traffic facilities, and creating an efficient and cost-effective road transport system. In Rajasthan, the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation was established in 1964 for this purpose.

Dr. Rawat urged the central government to provide special economic assistance to states like Rajasthan, either under Article 275(1) of the Constitution or for the objectives outlined in the Motor Vehicles Act of 1989, to continue operating convenient and affordable bus services in the public interest.
