Udaipur. In response to the comments made by Congress Rajya Sabha leader Sonia Gandhi and independent MP Pappu Yadav regarding President Droupadi Murmu, the tribal MPs of both the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha submitted a memorandum to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday. The MPs demanded appropriate action against the two leaders.

The delegation of tribal MPs was led by senior MP Faggan Singh Kulaste, and included Udaipur MP Mannalal Rawat among others. Tribal MPs from several states were also present. The MPs condemned the objectionable remarks made by Sonia Gandhi and Pappu Yadav, stating that these comments insulted not only President Murmu but also the entire tribal community.

MP Mannalal Rawat stated that Congress has been continuously disrespecting President Murmu, which reflects an anti-tribal mentality. He questioned why Congress holds such hatred towards tribals. Rawat demanded that Congress and the Indi-alliance clarify their stance, especially regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to make a tribal woman, a talented daughter, the first citizen of the country.

Rawat further stated that by disrespecting the first tribal President, Congress is committing a sin and insulting the nation's constitution, citizens, and the tribal community. He criticized the repeated derogatory remarks by Congress leaders, showing their attitude towards a tribal President and the tribal people.
