Kota: Litterateur and journalist Purushottam Pancholi was honored by various literary organizations in the city. A collective felicitation was organized where he was presented with an appreciation letter and adorned with a garland, turban, shawl, and coconut as a mark of respect. This event was held in recognition of the announcement that Pancholi will receive the prestigious "True Media Award" in New Delhi at the 24th International Hindi Conference, scheduled to take place in Kathmandu, Nepal, from February 15 to 25, 2025.
The event was organized under the aegis of Samras Sansthan Sahitya Srijan Kota Unit, Kesar Kavya Manch, and Sanskriti, Sahitya, Media Forum Kota in Talwandi. Several other organizations, including Aryan Lekhika Manch Kota, Gyan Bharati Kota, Human Welfare Society Kota, Rangeetika Sahitya-Sangeet Sanstha, Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad Kota Unit, and Shishu Bharati Shiksha Group, also participated in the celebration.
A competition on the theme of "Shringar" (romantic poetry and essays) was also organized, and winners were felicitated with certificates of appreciation. Additionally, the monthly e-bulletin "Anunad" was formally launched by the guests.
Addressing the gathering, Purushottam Pancholi stated that such events promote literature and journalism. He expressed, "Recognition from one's own people is more valuable than any global honor." The keynote speaker, writer and critic Vijay Joshi, highlighted Pancholi’s literary journey and read out the appreciation letter.
The event was graced by chief guest Yogendra Sharma, Chairman of Shishu Bharati Shikshan Group, along with Dr. Preeti Meena, President of Kesar Kavya Manch, educationist Atul Chaturvedi, journalist Dhirendra Rahul, and ophthalmologist Dr. Sudhir Gupta, who also shared their thoughts. Rameshwar Sharma 'Ramu Bhaiya' and Jitendra 'Nirmohi' extended their blessings.
On this occasion, Dr. Krishna Kumari presented a poetry recital based on the theme of Shringar. Dr. Shashi Jain, National President of Samras Sansthan, expressed gratitude and provided insights into the organization's activities. The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony before Goddess Saraswati, followed by a Saraswati Vandana presented by Dr. Shashi Jain.
Rajendra Kumar Jain, President of Samras Sansthan Kota Unit, welcomed all guests by adorning them with pearl garlands. Dr. Prabhat Kumar Singhal conducted the event.
The program was attended by Advocate Akhtar Khan Akela, artist Akhilesh Begri, Greater Kota Press Club Patron K.L. Jain, and litterateurs Rekha Pancholi, Snehlata Sharma, Roop Ji Roop, and Dr. Yugal Sharma, among many distinguished guests.
