Udaipur | A meeting was held at the Udaipur Marble Association office after the presentation of the Union Budget, where a detailed discussion on the budget took place.
Association President Pankaj Gangawat discussed the finance minister's budget proposals and stated that the Indian economy is consumer-dependent. The government has made significant changes to the income tax slabs, which will bring more money into the market and boost the economy. This will directly benefit the MSME sector and lead to an increase in GDP. He emphasized that this budget is a significant step toward the country's development and prosperity.
The government has raised the limit for MSMEs and Mudra loans from 1 crore to 2 crore rupees, which will help India soon achieve its goal of becoming a 5 trillion-dollar economy. The country is on the path to growth and prosperity. Additionally, special attention has been given to sectors such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
Gangawat pointed out that marble should have been reduced from the 18% GST slab in this budget, but no such announcement was made. He also mentioned that Kota stone, sandstone, and marble should have been placed in the same tax slab, but this expectation was also not fulfilled. Recently, during the finance minister's visit to Udaipur, marble traders had requested that imported goods be regulated and imported only in controlled quantities, so that the "Vocal for Local" and "Made in India" marble products could be promoted. However, this was not addressed in the budget.
Despite these shortcomings, the current budget is considered good from an industrial perspective, as it will boost the country's economy, promote business growth, and create new employment opportunities. This budget will provide fresh energy to the Indian economy, taking the country another step closer to becoming a developed nation.
