Udaipur: Member of Parliament Mannalal Rawat stated that the Union Budget 2025-26 is well-balanced for villages, the poor, youth, women, tribals, Dalits, the middle class, and farmers while accelerating India's journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Reacting to the budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday, MP Rawat highlighted that the announcement of zero tax on an annual income of up to ₹12 lakh will benefit millions of middle-class families. He emphasized that the Modi government has empowered the middle class. The budget focuses on 10 key priorities, including infrastructure and the social sector, ensuring the government's inclusive approach, with adequate provisions for the tribal community. It embodies the principles of reform, performance, and transformation, aligning with the vision of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas."
The budget introduces several key provisions to integrate education with modern technology. The establishment of 50,000 Atal Tinkering Labs and broadband connectivity in government schools will provide students with equal access to advanced technological resources. For the first time, ₹2,00,000 crore has been allocated for research and development, strengthening India's position as a global leader in science and technology.
MP Rawat also highlighted the increase in seats for medical and IT courses as a significant decision that will offer better opportunities for higher education to the youth. Additionally, an allocation of ₹5,000 crore for artificial intelligence (AI) will usher India into a new digital era, creating opportunities for startups, industries, and researchers.
