Udaipur, A one-day awareness workshop on NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) accreditation for laboratories was held at the IPM Theatre of Rajasthan Agricultural College, Udaipur, under the auspices of Maharana Pratap Agricultural and Technology University.
Dr. Bhumi Rajguru, the keynote speaker, elaborated on the various initiatives organized by the NABL institution. He discussed the process for obtaining accreditation for laboratories and emphasized the significance of the accreditation provided by NABL. He also highlighted the importance of testing and certification of food and agricultural chemicals in NABL-accredited laboratories, especially their national and global utility. Dr. Rajguru underscored the importance of quality production for a developed India in 2047.
The chief guest, Engineer Kuldeep Singh Rajput, appreciated the work being done by NABL and shared insights on the quality standards for laboratories in the current era.
The event coordinator, Dr. S.S. Lakhawat, Professor of Horticulture and Assistant Dean of Student Welfare, informed that 200 participants, including faculty members, department heads, and students from various colleges of the university, registered and participated in the workshop aimed at raising awareness about NABL laboratory accreditation.
At the end of the event, Dr. K.K. Yadav, Head of the Department of Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science, delivered a speech on improving soil quality and health. He also expressed gratitude to the honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka and the Dean of the College, Dr. R.B. Dubey, for their guidance in organizing the NABL workshop.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Amit Dadhich, Associate Professor and Placement Officer of the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics, who expressed appreciation to all the participants.
