Adani Foundation Honored for Contribution to Rural Development
Kawai Rajasthan : The Adani Foundation has been honored by the government for its continuous efforts in rural development over the past six years. This year too, the foundation was recognized for its various social initiatives in Rajasthan on January 26. On this occasion, Mr. Gautam Adani, Chairman of Adani Group, expressed gratitude to the state government for appreciating the foundation's efforts and for providing guidance.
Dr. Preeti Adani, Chairperson of Adani Foundation, shared that the foundation operates various activities across the country in sectors like education, healthcare, sustainable livelihoods, environmental protection, and infrastructure development, improving the living standards of millions of families. The recognition from the government motivates the foundation and strengthens the collaborative efforts with the government for rural development.
Mr. Pramod Saxena, Plant Head of Adani Power Limited, stated that the foundation’s developmental initiatives have contributed to India's growth, with local administration and relevant departments regularly acknowledging the foundation’s efforts.
Mr. Gopal Singh Devda, Head of Adani Foundation in Rajasthan, mentioned that the foundation organizes educational visits for local youth to the Adani plant and conducts extra classes for students to enhance their academic results.
In terms of community health, Adani Foundation organizes health camps regularly and provides medical services to 28 selected villages, conducting over 40,000 OPDs annually.
For livelihood development, the foundation established a Women Farmers’ Producer Organization, benefiting over 750 women. This initiative helps collect 5500-6000 liters of milk daily, which is sent to the Amul plant, providing employment to over 700 families.
Under infrastructure development, the foundation carries out activities like classroom construction, CC roads, pond deepening, and tube wells at local schools every year. The foundation's work is continually appreciated by the government, boosting the morale of its team and accelerating progress.
