Maharana Bhupal Hospital’s HIV Testing Lab Receives NABL Accreditation
Udaipur: The HIV testing laboratory at Maharana Bhupal Government Hospital, R.N.T. Medical College, Udaipur, has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). This significant achievement comes after the lab received NABH entry-level certification, further enhancing its credibility.
Dr. Vipin Mathur, Principal of R.N.T. Medical College, explained that under this certification, the laboratory has been recognized for its quality and capability in medical testing according to the ISO 15189:2012 standard. This accreditation covers both quantitative and qualitative testing aspects, ensuring accurate and reliable results for patients.

Dr. R.L. Suman, Superintendent of Maharana Bhupal Hospital, stated that this certification ensures the accuracy and quality of HIV testing, which will enable better treatment and timely diagnosis for patients. The hospital conducts over 300 HIV tests daily, providing accurate diagnoses and timely treatment for patients. The ART center at M.B. Hospital, R.N.T. Dr. Suman further mentioned that the HIV testing laboratory is located in Room No. 23 on the ground floor of M.B. Hospital, in the Microbiology Department, and is dedicated to both patient care and medical research collaboration.
