K.K. Gupta, the coordinator of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural), has issued an open letter urging the people of Delhi to establish a double-engine government by electing the BJP in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. Gupta highlighted the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah as the driving force behind India’s growth and empowerment on the global stage.
Gupta emphasized that the Modi-Shah duo has not only elevated India’s stature worldwide but has also thwarted the plans of anti-national forces. Calling the BJP government’s tenure historic, he urged Delhi voters to ensure the continuation of this developmental momentum by voting for the BJP both at the center and in the state.
Achievements of the Modi Government
In his letter, Gupta outlined the significant accomplishments of the Modi government, including:
Swachh Bharat Mission: Construction of toilets for 142 crore citizens, reducing disease outbreaks.
Digital Revolution: Introduction and widespread adoption of UPI and other digital services.
Ayushman Bharat Scheme: Free healthcare up to ₹5 lakh for every family.
Abrogation of Article 370: Integrating Jammu & Kashmir into the national mainstream.
Global Recognition: Successfully hosting the G-20 Summit and raising the Indian flag on the Moon.
Iconic Construction Projects: Building the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, new Parliament building, and Central Vista.
Gupta stated that Modi’s decisive leadership has transformed India into a strong and respected nation globally. He added that under Modi’s vision, India is dreaming of becoming a developed nation by 2047, marking 100 years of independence.
Amit Shah: A Strong Ally
Gupta praised Home Minister Amit Shah’s significant contributions, particularly in ensuring internal security. He noted that Shah’s determination to revoke Article 370 and bring about other transformative reforms has been instrumental in strengthening the nation. Comparing Shah to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Gupta described him as a leader committed to India’s unity and integrity.
An Appeal to Delhi Residents
Gupta appealed to the people of Delhi to reject false promises and vote for the BJP, a party that delivers on its commitments. He highlighted that electing the BJP would provide Delhi the benefits of a double-engine government and ensure uniform and rapid development like other states.
The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled for February 5, with results to be announced on February 8.
