Cleanliness: A Moral Responsibility, Unified Efforts Needed to Fulfill PM Modi’s Vision – Gupta

Udaipur: Under the joint aegis of the Municipal Corporation and Mewar Jan Shakti Dal, a felicitation ceremony titled "You and Us: A Step Towards Cleanliness" will be held on January 12, 2025, at 2 PM at the Sukhadia Auditorium of the Municipal Corporation.

A press conference regarding this event was held on Monday, with Swachh Bharat Mission Coordinator K.K. Gupta as the chief guest. Gupta emphasized that cleanliness is our moral responsibility and collective efforts are crucial to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. He highlighted the significant role of media in achieving this goal. Gupta further stated that innovative measures are being introduced at the central and state levels to establish new dimensions of cleanliness. Modern technology and human resources are being utilized to maintain hygiene in households, streets, villages, and cities.

“Our city, adorned with natural beauty, holds a distinct identity in the tourism sector and ranks among the top global tourist destinations. To preserve this reputation, unified and coordinated efforts are essential to maintain cleanliness,” Gupta said. He added that the felicitation ceremony on January 12 will recognize organizations, social workers, employees, and responsible citizens who have made noteworthy contributions to cleanliness.

Felicitation Ceremony to Feature Eminent Guests

Mewar Jan Shakti Dal’s Patron Atul Sharma announced that the Mewar Gaurav Pratibha Felicitation Ceremony will be organized under the Swachh Bharat, Swachh Udaipur Mission on January 12, 2025. The event will be blessed by Mahant Maharaj Shri Shri 1008 Swami Hiteshwaranand Saraswati of Katwala Mahadev, Chawand.

The chief guest for the occasion will be Cabinet Minister for Tribal Area Development, Baboolal Kharadi. Special guests include District Collector Arvind Poswal, Municipal Commissioner Ram Prakash, and Regional Officer of Pollution Control Regulation Board Sharad Saxena.

Keynote addresses will be delivered by Swachh Bharat Mission Coordinator K.K. Gupta, while Dhirendra Sachan, Director of K.S. Minerals, and financial and legal advisor C.A. Kartavya Shukla will join as special guests. The event will be presided over by Girish Joshi, Retired Nursing Superintendent of Maharana Bhupal Hospital.

The primary objective of this program is to provide a platform for Udaipur’s hidden talents and convey a comprehensive message of cleanliness to the entire city.
