10-Day Training Program of Green People Society Concludes

Udaipur: A 10-day training program organized by Green People Society provided valuable insights into environmental conservation, forests, plants, and the lives of people living in these areas. Intern student Harsh Mathur shared his experiences and gave a presentation about the local traditional herbs and Ayurvedic importance of various medicinal plants, vines, and trees, as part of the public awareness committee’s efforts. 

The Clean India Mission committee informed participants about waste management, efforts to reduce plastic pollution, and actions being taken to address public health issues. The Lake Conservation Committee discussed lake preservation, cleanliness, and maintaining pollution-free water bodies. The R.S.M.M. committee trained participants on mining activities and reclamation work in Jhamar Kotda, as well as the pollution, soil erosion, and other environmental impacts caused by mining.

During the "Pedal to Jungle" initiative, the eighth edition of which was organized by GPS, participants were introduced to the innovations, lifestyle, culture, food, housing, and education of the tribal communities living around the Mahi Dam backwaters in Banswara. 

GPS also conducted a field inspection in the Jhadol Kotda area, educating the trainees about forest and wildlife conservation, the protection of wildlife, minor forest produce, and the lifestyle of local tribal communities. 

At the conclusion of the program, participants shared their experiences. The event was attended by Committee President Rahul Bhatnagar, Suhail Majboor, Indrajit Mathur, V.S. Rana, Mohammad Yaseen Pathan, Lalit Joshi, and others.
