IG Parimla Highlights the Immense Potential of Eco-Tourism in Vagad
Banswara-Udaipur, Police Inspector General (IG) Mrs. S. Parimla emphasized the immense potential for eco-tourism in Banswara-Dungarpur districts, which are naturally rich and hold great promise for the development of eco-tourism. Events like 'Pedal to Jungle' play a significant role in promoting tourism in the Vagad-Mewar region. She advocated for organizing similar events at other tourist destinations in the region to further enhance eco-tourism.
IG Parimla was addressing the closing ceremony of 'Pedal to Jungle,' organized by the Green People Society Udaipur, at Shyampura Jungle.
She also called for the preservation of nature-rich tourist spots like Chachakota and Shyampura and stressed the importance of tourism development through their conservation.
At the event, the president of the Green People Society and retired CCF Rahul Bhatnagar provided detailed information about the activities conducted over the three-day 'Pedal to Jungle' event and shared the achievements attained so far.
Retired IAS officer and former Tourism Department Director Vikram Singh Chauhan provided insights into key tourism spots in the Vagad region, such as Arthuna and Dev Somnath, and urged their promotion for tourism development. Former royal family member Jagmal Singh and forest conservator Abhishek Sharma also shared their views on the natural richness of the Vagad region and its potential for tourism growth.
Cyclists Impressed by the Journey from Chachakota to Shyampura
Earlier in the day, retired IAS officer Vikram Singh Chauhan and Rahul Bhatnagar flagged off the cyclists at Chachakota. The cyclists then set off, enjoying the scenic valleys of Chachakota and passing through Kagdi Pikkap and other tourist spots before reaching Shyampura Forest, where the closing ceremony was held.
Honors at the Closing Ceremony
At the closing ceremony in Shyampura, cyclists, including Ranger Vishwender Singh, Santosh Kumar, Yashpal Singh, Rakesh Balot, and Pushpendra Singh, were honored. Certificates and mementos were presented to all the participants.
Retired DFO Pratap Singh Chundawat, Sohail Mazboor, VS Rana, Dr. Bashobi Bhatnagar, and many nature enthusiasts and intellectuals were also present at the event.
