Monthly Sneh Milan of Time Bank Udaipur Unit Held

Udaipur: The monthly Sneh Milan of the Time Bank of India - Udaipur unit, dedicated to serving senior citizens, was held at a private venue.

The event began with a briefing by A.K. Gupta, the Admin, who informed all members about the activities of the Time Bank and welcomed new members who joined in the past month by draping them with a traditional 'Uparna'. The 37 members present introduced themselves and fostered a deeper connection to ensure that the purpose of time donation—helping others in difficult situations—could be smoothly and selflessly carried out.

Media Coordinator, Professor Vimal Sharma, shared that registered members of Time Bank spend time with elderly or isolated senior citizens to assist them, reducing their loneliness. This includes helping them go out, providing care during illness, or assisting them during hospital stays. In the Time Bank, each member has a 'time account' where the hours spent in service are accumulated and spent. This system doesn't involve monetary transactions but rather deposits and withdrawals of time. Through this selfless service, not only seniors but also their distant family members benefit.

During the meeting, it was decided to create regional groups to help bring senior citizens from nearby areas together. The cultural program featured songs, jokes, dance performances, and a delightful meal, making the event more enjoyable for all attendees.
