### TAD Minister Kharaḍī Inaugurates ‘Banphool’ Design Studio

“Banphool Design Studio will serve as a medium for the preservation and promotion of tribal art” – Shri Kharaḍī
The studio will remain open to the public from 11 AM to 5 PM


Udaipur, Cabinet Minister of Tribal Area Development (TAD), Shri Babulal Kharaḍī, inaugurated the ‘Banphool’ Tribal Design Studio on Thursday at the Manikya Lal Verma Tribal Research and Training Institute (TRI) in Ashok Nagar, Udaipur.

During the inauguration, Shri Kharaḍī stated that the establishment of the Banphool Design Studio aims to preserve and promote tribal art. The studio will not only provide a platform for traditional tribal art and designs but will also assist in creating contemporary apparel, household items, and products inspired by traditional tribal craftsmanship.

Providing a Commercial Platform for Tribal Artists:
The minister highlighted that the studio will catalog tribal artists, develop their designs and artworks, and make them available in the market. It is envisioned as a repository for Rajasthan’s diverse tribal art, offering a means to safeguard and promote traditional crafts.

Boosting Tribal Art through Branding:
The studio will leverage 'Banphool' branding to advance both traditional tribal art and innovative creations. It is a significant initiative to protect and propagate Rajasthan's rich tribal heritage.

Open for Public Viewing and Purchase:
Divisional Commissioner and TAD Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani informed that the Banphool Tribal Design Studio, located at TRI, will remain open to the public from 11 AM to 5 PM daily. Visitors can view and purchase artworks and designs crafted by tribal artists at designated prices.

Inauguration Event Highlights:
The event witnessed the presence of Additional Commissioner of TAD OP Jain, Additional Director Pragya Saxena, Assistant Director Banwari Lal, artist Dinesh Upadhyay, and Legal Advisor Ashu Maheshwari, along with other officials, employees, tribal artists, and members of the public.
