Shine India Foundation's 13-year-long eye donation awareness campaign has successfully raised awareness not only in the city but also in rural areas, leading to an increase in eye donations.
In a recent incident, Tara Devi, a resident of Krishna Nagar, Gali No. 1, passed away suddenly on Saturday morning. Following her death, her daughter, Sangeeta, and son-in-law, Lokesh, were convinced by the foundation’s "Jyoti Mitra" (Eye Donation Friend) Nisha Lunkad and Kunal Ved to donate Tara Devi's eyes. The eye donation was carried out at their residence.
During this eye donation, the foundation's Jyoti Mitra and Bharat Vikas Parishad member Hitesh Batra received information from Baran, leading to the eye donation of Neetu Sachar, wife of Sonu Sachar, a resident of Krishna Colony, Hospital Road, Baran. Dr. Kulwant Goad reached Baran and successfully received the donation.
Present at the eye donation were Bharat Vikas Parishad president Hitesh Batra, secretary Pawan Mittal, Kamal Arora, Mahesh Adlakha, Kuldeep Singh, Gunjan Jhamb, and other members.
