Pacific University Hosts Inter-College Weightlifting, Powerlifting & Best Physique Championship
Udaipur, Pacific University’s Faculty of Pharmacy organized the Inter-College Weightlifting, Powerlifting, and Best Physique Championship on November 15, 2024. The closing ceremony of the championship was held on November 17, 2024, at the university’s Vishwaishwaraiya Hall.
The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Dr. Hemant Kothari, President of the University Sports Council; Dr. Vipin Mathur, Director of the Management College; Prof. P.K. Chaudhary, Director of Pharmacy; Dr. Neeraj Shrimali, Principal of Polytechnic College; Dr. Hemant Pandey, Principal of the Physical Education College; Dr. Yashvant Menaria, Dr. Gagan Vyas, Jaysingh Ji, Dr. Neelam Yadav, and Mr. Vinod Sahu, Joint Secretary of Powerlifting India and Selector of Udaipur Olympic Association.
According to Chanderesh Soni, the Chief Weightlifting Coach of the University Sports Council, the two-day competition concluded with remarkable performances in various categories.
Competition Results:

Powerlifting (Men’s Category):
- 1st: Dinesh Chauhan, Karan Jangid, Jayesh Kamaya, Jayesh Nagda
- Powerlifting (Women’s Category):
- 1st: Prachi Vyas, Mamta Tanu
The second place in the Men’s Powerlifting category was claimed by Mohit Bhati, Nikhil Sharma, and Farhan Khan.

- 1st: Mohit Bhati, Dinesh Chauhan, Jayesh Kamoya, Farhan Khan
- Women’s Category:
- 1st: Prachi Soni
In recognition of their exceptional performances, Prachi Soni, Jayesh Nagda, and Karan Jangid were named the Best Lifters of the University.
The championship was organized by Assistant Professors Shri Anukraman Singh and Shri Rajeev Sen from the Faculty of Pharmacy. The event was masterfully conducted by Dr. Gunjan Jadon.

University Chairman Mr. Rahul Agarwal and Registrar Mr. Sharad Kothari congratulated the winners for their remarkable achievements in the competition. The ceremony highlighted the dedication and spirit of the athletes, further enhancing the university's reputation in the sports domain.
