Delhi Public School, Udaipur, hosted a grand three-day 'Grandparents' Day' event for its early childhood students from November 12 to 14. In a rapidly changing world, people are increasingly moving away from their traditions, and the importance of grandparents is often overlooked. To highlight this, the school organized a special celebration to honor grandparents.
The event began with a welcoming dance performance. The school campus was beautifully decorated with items created by the children, and grandparents couldn’t help but feel proud of their grandchildren’s creativity. Several fun-filled activities were organized for the grandparents, where they participated and relished the joy of these games, while reminiscing about their own childhood.
Dance and music performances added to the vibrancy of the event. Various exciting races, such as the hurdle race, ice-cream race, and hula-hoop race, were arranged for Nursery, Prep, and Cambridge students. The children, along with their grandparents, thoroughly enjoyed these activities, leaving the elderly beaming with joy.
The Principal of the school, Sanjay Narwaria, welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of grandparents in life. He said that grandparents are blessings in the form of deities, whose place cannot be replaced. They are like angels in human form, always guiding and caring for their grandchildren with love and wisdom.
