The event was held on the historic Jagat Shobha cannon, the only remaining cannon from the Barwa era. The cannon, renowned for its historical significance, was the site of the "Salute to the Commander" ceremony.

Prof. Vimal Sharma, Executive President of the Barwa Smriti Sansthan, explained that the event was held to honor *Thakur Amarchand Barwa*, who served as the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief during the reigns of four Mewar Maharajas between 1751 and 1775. A retired Civil Engineer from Hindustan Zinc, A.K. Gupta, took responsibility for the preservation of the cannon. He announced plans to raise the Jagat Shobha cannon to a visible height above the road, so that passing tourists and the general public could easily recognize this important heritage.

The lecture, titled "Mewar and Maratha Relations in the 18th Century," will be delivered by Prof. B.P. Sharma.
