### XXII Alumni Meet and Felicitation Ceremony Held at CTAE Udaipur*

The XXII Alumni Meet and Felicitation Ceremony was heldat CTAE Udaipur. The chief guest for the event was Shri Dalpat Singh Bhandari, an alumnus from the first batch of the college. In his address, Shri Bhandari recalled the early days when only two or three students from their batch secured government jobs. However, after negotiations with the government, the entire batch was eventually selected for government positions. He further suggested that CTAE should develop an industry-institute linkage similar to that of BITS Pilani. Shri Bhandari emphasized the need for regular alumni meetings and proposed establishing alumni chapters in cities like Jaipur and Ajmer to enhance the visibility of CTAE, a proposal well-received by the attendees.

Various batches contributed to student scholarships, an act that was highly appreciated by all. Another alumni from the first batch, Prof. Aaron, shared memories of their student life, recalling that classes initially took place in the three sheds of RCA College before moving to the Polytechnic College. He also recounted his experiences in the USA, where professors recognized his expertise in agricultural engineering but encouraged him to pursue computer education as well. Upon returning to India, he brought the first computer to CTAE Udaipur.

Prof. Aaron also spoke about the need for CTAE to take the lead in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). He emphasized the importance of integrating AI into all branches of engineering and proposed that every department should appoint a coordinator to work on AI applications, ensuring the college benefits from this cutting-edge technology.

Dean Dr. Anupam Bhatnagar updated the alumni on the college's recent achievements, highlighting that CTAE is regarded as the top engineering college in the state based on its reputation, faculty, facilities, and placements. He mentioned that the college has signed several MOUs with prestigious institutions, including universities in Australia and the USA, as well as organizations like NHAI, Jain Irrigation, SEEDS Group, Hindustan Zinc, and Vedanta Group. Hindustan Zinc offers job placements to 6 to 8 mining engineering graduates annually, and 10 students intern with NHAI each year.

The alumni were deeply moved when they saw the library named after founding Dean Prof. K.N. Nag, a moment filled with pride and emotion. The event also featured a photo opportunity at the 'I Love CTAE' picture point, where alumni and their families took memorable group and family photos.

The alumni were welcomed in traditional Rajasthani style, with the guests being honored by wearing a 'safa,' applying 'tilak,' and being draped with an 'uparna.' The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Manjeet Singh, and the program was successfully hosted by Ms. Poonam Mahala.
