Udaipur . A meeting of the Rajasthan Public Trust Board of the Devasthan Department was held on Monday at the office of the Commissioner of the Devasthan Department, chaired by Bhawar Lal Pujari and attended by board members.

The meeting focused on various issues concerning the temples and trusts under the Devasthan Department. Key discussions included increasing the budget for the Senior Pilgrimage Scheme to benefit more senior citizens. Other topics included improving sanitation in temples, addressing encroachments on temple land and buildings, and increasing the salaries of priests and service personnel.

The board members also decided to conduct visits to the temples and trusts to assess facilities for devotees and the general public, with plans to inform the state government of any necessary improvements. The meeting emphasized providing facilities to board members as per regulations and ensuring the quality of offerings (prasad) across all temples.

Concerns were raised about the broken railing at the Neemuch Mata temple in Udaipur, which poses a risk of accidents. The department was tasked with overseeing its reconstruction. Attendees included Chairman Bhawar Lal Pujari, members from various regions such as Bhawar Lal Bishnoi from Sanchore, Omkar Mal Menaria from Vallabhnagar, Mahavir Chand Mehta from Balotra, Sant Bhajana Ram from Sirohi, Gurucharan Singh from Jaipur, Manish Shukla from Jhalawar, Rajiv Shukla from Suroth, and Vijaypal from Jaipur.
